About LoopDL and the network

Who are LoopDL?

A UK telecoms company, regulated by Ofcom. We design our own 5G devices and run them on our own LDL network:

  • the101 Pro2 for home
  • loopTwo for portable
  • LoopPhone for mobile

You buy the device outright so it is yours, then choose a monthly plan separately, or no plan at all.

Which network do you use?

The LDL network, a multi-operator network available across the UK. We do not name the operators behind it.

Is there a contract or a credit check?

No contract and no credit check from us. Plans are monthly rolling and you can cancel any time.

Do I own the device?

Yes. The device is bought outright and is yours from day one. There is nothing to hand back if you leave.

Choosing a product

I already have fibre — can I just use the device for better wifi?

Yes, that is the101 Pro2 as device only. Your line plugs into it and there is no LoopDL plan.

What is 5G smartswitch broadband?

the101 Pro2 replaces your existing router and your line runs the home as it does today. If the line goes down completely, it moves the home to 5G on its own, and back when the line returns. It does not switch for a slow line.

The plan carries 20GB of 5G a month, for outages rather than as your main connection.

Do I have to cancel my current broadband?

Not for 5G smartswitch broadband or device only — you keep your provider and your contract with them. If you want 5G as your home line instead, that is 5G broadband unlimited.

Plans and pricing

Do I have to take a monthly plan?

No. Device only is a valid choice on every device, and you can add a plan later from your account.

Paying and billing

Can I pay for the device monthly?

You can split the device into 3 interest-free instalments with Klarna, on orders from £35 to £1,000. Klarna is the lender and the agreement is with them. We do not rent devices and do not offer finance of our own.

Why is my first bill a part-month amount?

It depends how you paid for the device:

  • Paid outright with a plan: the rest of that first month is free, and your first full payment lands on the 1st.
  • Paid with Klarna: the rest of that month is charged pro-rata.
  • eSIM-only plan, or a plan added later to a device you already own: also pro-rata.
How do I change plan?

In your account.

  • Moving up takes effect immediately, with the difference charged pro-rata and shown before you confirm.
  • Moving down is scheduled for the 1st of the next month, and you keep your current plan until then.

Data, fair use and abroad

What happens if I use up my allowance?

Data pauses until the 1st of the next month, or you can move to unlimited straight away. There are no top-ups and no extra charges for going over.

Can I use it abroad?

For data abroad, buy a Travel eSIM for that country in the LoopPhone app — pick the destination and the data you want. Plans themselves are UK only and do not include roaming.

Buying, delivery and the box

How much is delivery and where do you deliver?

Delivery is free on everything. We deliver to UK addresses only, and the delivery time is shown at checkout and in your order confirmation.

Does the LoopPhone come with a charger?

No charger and no cable. It charges at up to 45W over USB-C with PPS.

AccessoryPrice
60W adapter£15
Magnetic cable£10

Any PPS charger of 45W or more will charge it at full speed.

Can I choose the colour of the cover included with my LoopPhone?

Not separately. The included soft-touch cover always matches the phone colour you pick, and a clear cover is included free. If you want a different colour you can add one for £25, or an extra clear one for £15.

Setting up

Where should I put the101 Pro2?

Out in the open, near a window, away from cupboards and the back of the house. Move it while watching the signal on the screen — 5G varies room to room, and placement makes more difference than anything else.

The devices

How fast is the101 Pro2?

Fast 5G — Wifi 7 inside and four 5G receivers. Your real speed depends on the 5G signal at your address and where you put the device, so we do not quote a number.

Can I use my own SIM?

the101 Pro2 is eSIM only — there is no physical SIM slot of any kind. It is not locked, so it works with a compatible data eSIM from another provider.

How long does the loopTwo battery last?

12,000mAh built in. How long that lasts depends on how many devices are connected and how hard they are working it, so we do not publish an hours figure. It charges over USB-C at up to 45W.

Is loopTwo or LoopPhone waterproof?

No. Both are protected against dust and splashes, but neither is for use in rain, showers or near water. Water damage is not covered by the warranty.

What is Glance?

The 1.6" screen on the back of the LoopPhone, and the features that run on it:

  • Identifying a song
  • Live scores
  • Music
  • Cards
  • Games
  • Clocks and wallpapers

You can also frame a selfie on it and shoot with the 200MP main camera instead of the front one.

Numbers, porting and mobile

Can I keep my number?

Yes. It completes within one working day.

  1. Text PAC to 65075 from the number you want to keep.
  2. Request the port in your account under Manage, with the number and the PAC.
  3. Keep the LoopDL eSIM in and use your temporary number until the port completes.
Does a PAC or STAC cancel my LoopDL plan?

No, and this is the one people miss. When your number moves, we give the eSIM a new LoopDL number and the subscription carries on billing until you cancel it separately in your account.

Returns, warranty and faults

How does the 30-day money-back device guarantee work?

If you buy a device from our website, you can return it within 30 days of delivery for a refund.

Contact us through the website or app to arrange your return. Factory reset your device, remove it from your Google or Apple account and include all accessories. We may reduce your refund if the device is damaged or incomplete.

We’ll refund you within 14 days of receiving your device. If you used a pay-later service, we’ll refund that provider.

Any plan bought with the device will end at the end of your current billing month, unless you tell us you want to keep it.

What is the warranty?

12 months from purchase, on every device, covering repair or replacement for faults in materials or workmanship. That sits alongside your rights under the Consumer Rights Act rather than replacing them.
